Style For Sale:
Middleton-On-The-Hill (Shropshire)

Before

After

This traditional Grade II listed, former hay barn, was a family home stuck on the housing market for far too long.   The owners wanted to downsize and move closer to their children in London but the period property was dated and cluttered.

THE MAKEOVER: With a life’s worth of possessions, the main focus was to determine which items would be useful to showcase the property and which items were distracting for buyers.   Helping the owners de-clutter was an enlightening stage when all of the children rallied around to assist mum and dad.   Having the backing of the whole family helped to create positivity in a property, shifting the energy levels, making the home feel welcoming and inviting to potential buyers.

With a light repaint and new carpets in key rooms, coupled with high street products to create a consistent colour scheme, the property’s character now shines through.   Not only does the makeover highlight the period features of the property, it also makes the home feel lighter, brighter and far more spacious.

The House Doctor makeover provided the opportunity for appealing photographs which attracted potential buyers and increased viewings… the property has sold.

WHAT THE OWNERS HAD TO SAY:

“The makeover was refreshing.   Since the makeover, the estate agent has increased the valued of the property because it looks far more attractive.   It was good to have a clear out and we are far more positive about achieving a sale and moving closer to our children.”
