Interior Design :: Bachelor Bedroom
(West Brompton, London)
THE BRIEF: The master bedroom was dated and hadn’t been decorated since James moved into the luxury 2-bed apartment. The bedroom was badly organised and the dated décor made it a challenge to get out of bed every morning. James wanted a bedroom that would relax him at the end of each day and invigorate him for the day ahead.

NEW BEDROOM LAYOUT
MODERN COLOUR SCHEME
BESPOKE FURNITURE
I reconfigured the master bedroom so that the bed was re-positioned in the widest space, with fitted wardrobes in the narrow alcove of the room. This meant James no longer had to clamber over the bed to get up in the morning. He would have space around the bed with ample storage for his clothes and personal possessions. To complement the fitted wardrobes, I also designed a bespoke shelving unit as a fun activity for the house cats.
With a modern colour scheme of blue and grey, James would feel comfortable whilst relaxing in the calm space. Adding electronic curtains into the design helped to wake James up gently every morning, as the soft dappled light slowly entered the room. James now has a warm and cosy space to relax, and his cats love it to.
