When there’s uncertainty in the world, we reach for the natural and organic to fill our homes with a feeling of balance and harmony. That’s why the Scandinavian Christmas Trend is popular, because it’s nurturing and stylish.

The Scandi trend is filled with natural textures, scents and light. It focuses on natural elements, such as wood, hessian, rattan, linen, cotton and greenery, with a splash of sparkle to brighten the celebrations.

The Scandi style is also a little whimsical with animals adding to the delights of the festivities. And of course it wouldn’t be Scandi chic without candles and light. I’m loving the new fake candles that are quite realistic whilst also being super safe. Tie some string or rattan around the center of the candle for added style.

My favourite thing to make this season is a crisp cotton serviette folded into a bow. It’s so easy to do and looks so stylish. Give it a try and you’ll be impressed with yourself. I’ve also added a glitter bow decoration to my serviettes for extra sparkle, because you can never have too much glitter at Christmas.

This festive trend will create a relaxing, homely and attractive Christmas for you to enjoy the celebrations in style.

I’m personally going to be using this trend at my Christmas dinner table this year, and I’ll also take inspiration from this for a client’s cottage that I’m styling for the festivities. If you’d like me to style your home for a special event then I’d love to have a chat about how I can add the designer touches to make your celebrations sparkle.
